Goodpasture Christian School is the largest private school north of Nashville. Starting with our Great Beginnings childcare at 12 months up to high school, your child will thrive on a Christ-centered campus.
Here is a look at we offer for your child: GREAT BEGINNINGS Our Great Beginnings year-round program serves children 12 months through approximately 36 months of age. Our teachers provide excellent care for your toddler in a loving and nurturing environment. Children are taught Christian values and respect, learn Bible stories, and participate in prayer time. Age-appropriate curriculum provides hands-on experiences, real-life adventures, and scientific discovery as the toddlers explore their world through classroom play. Parents have visual access through in-room cameras; they also receive daily updates on their child through our Tadpole program. PRE-K Serving children ages 3 to 4 years old, our Pre-K curriculum has been teacher-developed to comply with state standards, while meeting the needs of each child. Caring teachers promote self-esteem and self-expression by using classroom centers to provide our preschoolers with opportunities for social and academic growth. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL The Goodpasture Christian School Kindergarten classrooms are housed in a modern facility designed as a little red schoolhouse. Our curriculum includes language arts, math, science, and social studies. Technology is incorporated into both the reading and math curriculum through the use of iPads and iMac computers. Kindergartners receive a daily Bible lesson and devotional to aid them in their social and spiritual growth. Grades 1-5 provide a strong academic program in a caring, Christian environment. Elementary faculty members are certified in their area of instruction. Our faculty and staff work daily to provide a variety of activities to adapt to individual needs to make the learning environment challenging, exciting, and successful. Technology is incorporated into all subjects through the use of iPads and iMac computers. In addition to their classroom teachers, students work with certified music, physical education, art, library, and technology instructors. They also have access to a STEM lab. MIDDLE SCHOOL Middle School is a time of change. Students enter as children on physical, emotional, and intellectual levels. The transition from elementary to middle school is made easier by our knowledgeable, caring faculty. Their goal is to develop young adults who are: 1) learners prepared for their educational future; and 2) individuals who are personally accountable and responsible citizens in their communities. Technology is incorporated into the curriculum through the use of iPads. A variety of activities are offered to round out the middle school experience. These include class field trips, multiple athletic teams, student council, and fine arts opportunities. HIGH SCHOOL Goodpasture High School aims to give students an education designed for the journey ahead. Academically, the top 10% of GHS students had a 32 average on the ACT. The 2023 graduating class earned $17.7 million in total scholarships and had a 100% college acceptance rate. Our high school offers 23 AP and Dual Enrollment classes, as we have over 22 elective courses. Junior and senior students can earn up to 70 college credit hours prior to graduation. Our student 1:1 Chromebook program enables teachers to institute and support best practices in technology integration. Outside of the classroom, there are multiple opportunities to become involved in fine arts, athletics, and service opportunities. Spirituality becomes more of a student's identity as individual beliefs are rooted through daily Bible classes and devotionals. They grow from connections made with faculty, coaches, and peers.
