Unlock Your Child's Academic Potential

We all want our children to succeed in school, and it’s heartbreaking when they struggle to learn. Learning Matters provides a range of services to identify learning obstacles and interventions to address them. We’re here to help!

Comprehensive Academic Assessments
An assessment can diagnose your child’s unique learning profile and address questions regarding intellectual, academic, social/emotional, and executive functioning ability. In addition to helping to understand your child’s learning strengths and weaknesses, an assessment report will contain recommendations for interventions and accommodations within the school. The evaluation may also support accommodations for college-entrance exams such as the ACT and SAT. Common assessments include:
  • Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Assessment
    • Dyslexia and Specific Learning Disorders
    • ADD/ADHD and Executive Functioning Skills
  • Speech and Language Assessment
  • Intellectual Giftedness and IQ Testing

Individualized Tutoring with Measurable Outcomes
At Learning Matters, we are focused on your child. We develop an individualized learning plan to remediate areas of academic weakness during one-on-one tutoring and provide consistent mentorship to address your child’s overall feelings about their ability to learn. Whether our teachers are remediating Dyslexia, working on study skills and techniques, or subject-specific tutoring, a post-session summary keeps parents informed about progress and goals. One-on-one tutoring can include:
  • Dyslexia/Orton-Gillingham-based Reading Interventions
  • Study Skills/Organization, Executive Functioning, and Self-Advocacy
  • K-12 Math and Dyscalculia
  • Writing, Written Expression, and Dysgraphia
  • Speech-Language Therapy

Tutoring is typically scheduled as one-hour sessions, twice per week. In-person and online options are available. Discounts apply for four or more sessions per week.
